Meet Johnny Nichols: A Lifetime of Dedication to Pryor Students

Johnny Nichols is a true everyday hero whose lifelong dedication to the Pryor community has left a lasting impact on generations of students. A 1967 graduate of Pryor High School, Johnny spent 38 years in the classroom teaching subjects like woodworking, welding, and architectural drawing before retiring in 2011. However, his commitment to education didn't end there. Today, at 75 years old, he continues to serve the school district in multiple capacities. He is currently in his 41st year driving a school bus, works on the maintenance crew, and serves as the assistant director at the high school's performing arts center. Supported by his wife of 54 years, Johnny remains an active and beloved figure in his hometown, proving that a passion for helping others never truly retires.
