Yuri Williams: A Real-Life Superhero Transforming Lives

Yuri Williams, inspired by comic book heroes and his mother's exemplary life as a probation officer, founded the 'Future Superhero' initiative in 2017. His mother, Linda Hubbard, battled cancer for eight years, a fight that eventually led Yuri into a long depression. By revisiting his childhood fascinations like Star Wars and Spider-Man, Yuri found a way to cope and turn his pain into a powerful force for good. Dressed as various superheroes, Yuri dedicatedly works to bring happiness and essential resources to underserved communities, including those in LA's inner city and on Skid Row. He carries on his mother's legacy of caring and community service by also performing acts of kindness nationwide as he embarks on annual 50-state tours. Yuri's ongoing efforts aim at expanding his reach internationally to support even more people in need.
