Uniting for Change: Clifton's Annual Community Service Day

In Clifton, an extraordinary community service initiative called Neighborhood Clifton brings together church denominations including Baptists, Lutherans, and Church of Christ, among others, to serve their community collaboratively. This annual event, started by the Clifton Ministerial Alliance in 2017-2018, involves local church leaders and volunteers foregoing their regular Sunday services to engage in community service. Throughout the day, 260 volunteers from seven churches repair homes, clean up debris, and connect with the elderly, fostering a sense of unity and making a tangible difference in their community. This initiative not only strengthens community bonds but also encourages participants to live out their faith through service, setting a powerful example for other communities.
