Rascal Rodeo offers free adaptive rodeo events for people with disabilities. Learn how this nonprofit uses horseback riding to foster inclusion and joy.
Rascal Rodeo is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to producing adaptive rodeos for individuals with mental and physical disabilities of all ages. Originally founded as a high school senior project by Erica in 2001, the organization has expanded to serve communities across six states. These events are provided free of charge, removing financial barriers to participation and ensuring that everyone has the chance to experience the thrill of the rodeo. The program emphasizes inclusion and accessibility, allowing participants to leave their wheelchairs behind and experience the unique joy of horseback riding. By focusing on those who are often excluded from mainstream community activities, Rascal Rodeo creates a supportive environment where participants feel accepted and loved. The success of these events depends on the dedication of thousands of volunteers, sponsors, and donors. Whether you have horse experience or simply a heart for service, there are many ways to get involved and support this life-changing mission.
