Luke and Jake Salmon, known as the Salmon Twins, exemplify the essence of community heroes. Born prematurely at just 24.5 weeks, weighing about a pound and a half each, they faced numerous challenges from the outset. Despite their tough start, they developed an extraordinary level of compassion, leading them to embrace community service early on. From beach cleanups to feeding the homeless, and even building latrines in the Dominican Republic, their efforts were recognized nationally, including receiving the Daily Points of Light Award. Their story is not just about overcoming adversity but also about how compassion can lead to impactful community service, inspiring everyone around them.
