Explore the Food Equality Initiative's journey to help those with food allergies nationwide. Learn how you can support their mission.
The Food Equality Initiative, founded by Emily Brown in Kansas City, Missouri, addresses the crucial need for accessible food options for individuals with food allergies. When Emily’s daughters faced challenges with allergies that local resources couldn't meet, she launched the first pantry of its kind. CEO Erin Martinez credits the grassroots support from diverse volunteers for the organization's success. Having expanded nationally, they aim to include special diet foods in insurance and foster education and support through generous community contributions.
