Art & Healing: Vicki Mackey’s Courageous Fight Against Cancer

Vicki Mackey, facing a dire cancer diagnosis, turned her passion for art into a sanctuary for herself and others dealing with cancer. While preparing for retirement in 2005, Vicki's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with stage three metastatic breast cancer, which later spread to her lungs. Defying grim prognoses, she established 'Sites and Insights', a free art therapy program in Aurora, Colorado. The program offers workshops both virtually and in-person, aiding participants to express and alleviate their emotional trauma through artistic expression.
